サイボーグは『Bellator 249: Cyborg vs. Blencowe』でアーリーン・ブレンコウに2Rリアネイキッドチョークで勝利して以来の試合で今回が2度目の防衛戦。スミスは『Bellator 245: Davis vs. Machida 2』でアマンダ・ベルに判定勝ちして以来の試合。
